Class 4 dangerous goods include flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion and substances which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases. There are three sub-divisions:

• Class 4.1: Flammable Solid
• Class 4.2: Spontaneously Combustible
• Class 4.3: Dangerous when wet
